Predicts the distributions of temperature, pressure, volumetric shrinkage, and shear
stress/rate during the packing phase. Helps to minimize problems such as over-packing
and unbalanced shrinkage.

Predicts the cooling time, mold and part temperature distributions, heat flux, heat
load, heating and cooling efficiencies, etc, for evaluating the mold cooling design
efficiency.
In R9, transient cool solver will be provided for getting historical data during
cooling stage and heat up cycles evaluation…etc.

Predicts warpage behaviors of the molded part after ejection. It functions as an
advisor for design improvement. The results are based on several contributing factors
to investigate the root causes of warpage.

Allows users to model part/mold inserts to represent more accurately the shrink,
warp, thermal and flow conditions. In R9, mesh preparation of this analysis can be
done more efficiently. Furthermore, it supports over-molding and insert molding
in transient approach.

Especially for thermoset material, provide full series of simulation of flow, pack,
warp, fiber.

Parallel computing: separate total mesh matrix for each calculation unit, the more
tasks that are being processed, the higher speed-up rate one obtains.

eDesign pairs up with Intel’s newest CPU Core i7, the calculation performance will
entirely level up, the 3.5 times speed-up rate while using 4 tasks.
